Tennessee is a pretty wonderful place, but together we can make it better.

GenTN is a non-profit, non-partisan leadership organization that is driven by this belief. The organization’s mission is to serve as a forum where emerging leaders from across the state can interact, be informed about issues facing Tennessee and be inspired to address these challenges and make a difference in their communities.

We are not an advocacy group and do not endorse specific policies or candidates. Rather, GenTN seeks to provide its members the tools, network and inspiration to advocate for the ideals that they believe in and to build a better future for our state.

GenTN is a grassroots organization that invites individuals from across Tennessee to participate in the conversations about the betterment of our great state through this website and events organized by GenTN. The members of GenTN come from each of the three grand divisions of the state, from rural and urban areas and from a wide variety of professions and backgrounds. The issues addressed can be both civic – education, healthcare, public safety, etc. – and individual – work/life balance, how to start a business or organization, etc.

In order to further advance these conversations, GenTN produces an annual conference that brings together Tennessee’s next generation of leaders with the state’s current leaders. Individuals are nominated to attend the conference by business, community and political leaders from across the state. More than 400 Tennesseans – from Memphis to Kingsport – have attended our conferences. Past keynote speakers have included Governor Phil Bredesen, John Seigenthaler, Tony Giarratana and Congressman Jim Cooper.

Thank you for your interest in and support of GenTN. We look forward to talking and working with you.
